American Idol is already currently in its sixth season which made its début on January 16, 2007, airing on the FOX Broadcasting Network. The American Idol tour concert will take place post the show. There are no dates announced. Check with the official American Idol website for upcoming concert dates. The Final Performances are to be held on May 22, 2007 while May 23, 2007 is set to be the date of the Season Finale. The much awaited 12 finalists were finally announced on March 8, 2007 and as in past these top 12 will make appearances on the annual compilation album. It is the top 10 that will be part of the American Idol summer concert tour. American Idol is so popular that it is broadcast to well over 100 nations besides home country, the United States; many of these having their own version of Idol.
