Where will Summer University 2010 take place?
The Summer University will take place in two regions strongly affected by the impact of global warming: The Swiss Alps and the Mediterranean. The Summer University will kick off in a renowned mountain resort in the Alps and conclude in Valencia / Spain. While we are still selecting our partner region in the Alps, the decision to locate modules of Carbon Challenge Summer University 2010 in Valencia has been taken already. Valencia has been selected on the basis of the following considerations: • Valencia is one of the most dynamic and future-oriented cities in Europe, filled with young people from all over Europe • Valencia is a host city for the most prestigious and internationally recognised events such as America’s Cup and Formula One • Valencia has established globally recognized projects like the Oceanographic Museum, Bioparc and the City of Arts & Sciences • The city owns wide blue-flagged city beaches and nature reserves • It boasts impressive futuristic architecture by world ren
