Where will mediations be held?
Whenever possible, mediations will be held at courthouses. However, if courthouse resources cannot accommodate the mediation session, or the parties and mediator agree in advance on an alternate location, other sites are possible. Note that mediation may not be held at the same court in which the foreclosure action was filed. The Foreclosure Diversion Program has been implemented across the State by judicial region. Information on which courts have been designated to hold mediation can be found here. What information will be needed for the mediation session? As mentioned above, the plaintiff/lender must provide certain financial forms/questionnaires to the defendant/homeowner at the time the complaint is served. The homeowner must complete and return these forms no later than 21 days after the informational session or 42 days after the service of the summons and complaint if no informational session is held.
