Where Will Kaka Go in The All-Time Pantheon ?
He has certainly not “proved it all” until he has made a significant contribution to Brazil winning a World Cup (he only played 25 minutes against Costa Rica in 2002). He has only one Serie A title and one Champions’ League with Milan. He has won the Ballon D’Or once – leaving him behind the likes of Ronaldo, van Basten, Platini, Cruyff and even Kevin Keegan. He’s a very fine player and one of the best around today, but he still has a lot to do to earn a seat at even Brazil’s top table, let alone the world’s. To talk of all-time greats you have to look back to the likes of Maradona, Pele and Di Stefano – and I don’t see he’s quite proved he’s in that league yet.
