I think you can find a reasonable price for a pup, depending what you consider reasonable. If you aren’t concerned if it is registered which despite some peoples’ thoughts that is not all bad.I’ve seen registered dogs that are not good breed representatives.I say don’t just look at “papers” look at the actual pup and parents.Talk to the breeder.I now have some chihuahua pups ,not registered and they are beautiful pups. This is not just me saying it ,this is from people looking at them.Perhaps they aren’t show dogs, but on average most dogs are just pets.Being just a pet is not a dirty word or make the pup/dog worthless.Health and temperament are important to me.I have found some of the so called reputable breeders who breed for show make excuses as to health issues that come up in their breeding.Breeders are not god and some times things do happen. We learn from the experiences. If a serious problem occurs then the breeding isn’t repeated.True some breeders don’t care.

Do your research and make sure you are purchasing from a reputable breeder. The extra you pay for a healthy high-quality puppy will be made up for in the vet bill difference between a puppy who is happy and healthy and one that has genetic defects. As an example of what I mean, I recently adopted a
