Where were the police today when derick bird was driving around for 3 hours shooting people?
You cannot blame the police for the actions of a maniac any more than you can blame a weapon. In China there has been a rash of fatal stabbings and you cannot ban knives. The police are spread thin an they do their best. I am sure they wanted to stop this person as much as anyone. I might ask the same question and wish the police could be there when you need then. Unfortunately they cannot be and the only answer is an armed society. I realize the drawbacks and the dangers but a person has the right to protect their life and the lives of their family. Why does a person have to be subject to an armed criminal who would kill them. What are the choices on has if confronted? At least give good people who have the proper training the right to try and defend themselves. A weapon does not guarantee survival but it is better than cowering on the ground with no chance. Some states do allow a person concealed carry but most don’t. No matter how you feel about weapons I can assure that will change
