Where were Steam Ovens invented?

0

There is very little information on Steam Deck Ovens specifically, but the history of a simple bread item that most of us believe is French points us in the right direction…. The Baguette was invented during the 19th century in Vienna, Austria as a result of the unique steam deck ovens the bakers in Vienna developed. In fact, the ‘Viennese’ technique is what is used to bake Baguettes (even in France) because of the large Viennese ovens used to bake them… steam deck ovens. There is little or no information on the exact origins of the ovens themselves, except that Vienna-style (steamed) bread was developed by a baker on strike who was visiting Vienna to learn new techniques and then modified it to make it his own, using steam in the baking process.
