In 2009, you’re either really in or you’re really out with Third Eye Blind, and if you’re in, chances are good that you’re still holding on tightly to your memories of the band’s late-’90s heyday. Twelve years after the entire country was doot-doot-dooting to “Semi-Charmed Life,” Stephan Jenkins and the band have been staying busy on the road, and as last year’s Red Star EP and a pair of recent SXSW performances confirmed, they really have been working on new material. When Ursa Major finally hits in August, it’ll be just the band’s fourth full-length and its first since 2003’s Out Of The Vein. Expect new songs at this free San Jose gig, as well as a pile of old hits that still sound great today. Plaza De Cesar Chavez 170 S. Market St. San Francisco CA 95112 all ages free Thu.
