Where was the Movie Deliverance Filmed?
The majority of the movie Deliverance was filmed in Tallulah Gorge, located just south of Clayton, Georgia and also on the Chattooga River which runs in both Georgia and South Carolina. Some additional scenes were shot in Sylva, North Carolina and Salem, South Carolina as well as a scene that was shot in a cemetery in South Carolina. I find it interesting that this cemetery currently lies under Lake Jocassee!
