Where was the first MIS Language School? When did it start?
The first MIS Language School (then called the Fourth Army Intelligence School) was established at the Presidio of San Francisco, in an abandoned airplane hangar at Crissy Field. See a photo of Building 640. At its peak (1946) MISLS had 3,000 students and 160 instructors, spread over 125 classrooms.
