Where was the crash testing performed?
The crash testing was performed at Karco Engineering, L.L.C. located in Adelanto, California in April of 2004. Their test facility is equipped with an outdoor 1000-foot in-run concrete track, an immovable concrete crash barrier, and two vehicle-to-vehicle concrete impact pads with camera pits. During actual testing, the test vehicles and/or movable barriers are towed using a precision cable and pulley system designed to provide a wide range of highly accurate vehicle speeds.
