Where was Romanticism originated from?
Romanticism has nothing to do with the Roman Empire. Romanticism was a reaction to the Enlightenment: whereas the Enlightenment favored logic, structure, and universalism, Romanticism focused on emotion and individual feeling. It was a Europe-wide movement, and didn’t really originate in one country that I know of, but you could argue perhaps it began in Germany, because: In music, Beethoven is considered both the last Classical and the first Romantic composer.
