Where Was Barbie Doll Invented?
The Barbie Doll was created rather than invented by an American businesswoman Ruth Handler in 1959. She was inspired to do so when she saw her daughter, named Barbie creating paper dolls and indulging in role plays with them in a more adult like manner. Later during her tour in Germany she observed a doll that was more adult like in design and later created the Barbie doll on similar lines. She named the doll Barbie after her daughter and went on to create an adult partner for Barbie that went by the name Ken.
