Where to visit in Europe?
It’s hard to go wrong no matter where you go. What are your interests? Art, architecture, nature, festivals, …? When will you be coming? That can affect the interest level of a given place depending on what’s going on. I’ve been living in Italy for the past ten years and exploring here and in the rest of Europe every chance I get. I still haven’t found any place where I wouldn’t gladly go back. Italy is a great place to visit. There are thousands of local festivals – some of which are strange, but wonderful and others just wonderful. Many of the festivals are built around local foods or traditions. You might consider the Czech Republic. Prague is a great city – you could easily spend a day in the castle alone, or hanging out on Charles Bridge watching the street performers. Cesky Krumlov is a great town to visit. Or, if you go to Karlstejn Castle, you can see the skull of the dragon slain by St George (at least that’s what they believed it was).
