Where to purchase young coconuts?
A question we often hear, “Where can I purchase young Thai coconuts?” That can be rather difficult since the majority of the young coconuts sold in the United States are imported from Thailand by boat. The best place to find young coconuts are in an Asian Market or Mexican Market. Sometimes supermarkets will have them, or can special order them, ask the produce manager if they can order “Melissas specialty produce from California”. Generally purchasing a case at a time is less expensive than purchasing one at a time.
