Your local police should be able to connect you with social services. Other options include the Hospital’s mental health clinic, or a school counsilor. If you feel you are in danger, get to a safe place and call 911. Severe mental trauma is a real problem, sadly family members can recieve the blunt end of this weapon. Because this type of abuse is especially difficult to diagnose, please consider the people who have genuinely suffered abuse and determine if the words torture apply to your circumstance equally. Our government does have social services to prevent the abuse of vulnerable people. However the system is often overworked and undersupported. When I went through the welfare system as a child I was surpized how much it *wasn’t* like TV. It’s much more like being in a bus station. No one really cares what your story is, you are just moved from point A to point B. Their only job is to prevent further damage from the previous abuser.
