Wengen, Switzerland is where I would recommend you spend your holiday. This charming alpine village has become a popular tourist destination, and nearby Interlaken is quite a cute city to look around. By car, it is about 1 hr from the Bern airport, and about 2.5 hrs by train. It’s about 2.5 hrs by car and 3 hrs by train from the Zurich airport. I recommend you take a car so that you may then tour around neighboring valleys and towns with greater ease. Interlaken is a very interesting city and is one of the oldest tourist desinations in Switzerland as well as Europe. To get to Wengen, you can either drive or take the train to Lauterbrunnen, which is nestled in the bottom of a deep valley, and where you must leave your car in a (very safe) parking structure.
