Where to go shopping in Washington DC?

Union Station, Pentegon City Mall, Georgetown, Alexandria have funky shops. Basically if you use the Metro – where-ever 2 lines cross – if you get off and go to the surface street – there will be shops. There are also some outlet malls around in Maryland and Virginia. Lots to see – some of my fav’s include – Monument lighting at night trolly/tram tour – the monuments are very powerful in the dusk or dark. You can pick it up near Union Station. You can also get an on/off ticket for the day tram’s that go up and down the capitol mall – save your feet. I like the American History Museum and the Natural History Museum. The zoo is fun and Fords theater is interesting, I wouldn’t bother with the White House tour – you get much better view if you buy a book. If you have time contact your congressional representative or senator and ask for FBI tickets, or Capitol Tour or White House tour tickets. They may have some available but they go fast. I like the area around DC and be sure to get a nice
