where to get them or just have some helpfull information about resonator guitar?
Tagged As: Resonator Guitar Parts Question: I am wanting to build a resonator guitar in the style of the National Duolian or Triolian models. I am talking about the wooden versions. I have been inside the metal versions doing repairs and etc. but I don’t have any idea how the wooden models are put together. I am pretty sure that they’re not made the same as the Dobro resonators are, with the sound chamber and all. I guess what I’m after is a set of plans or maybe just someone who knows, to discuss it with. I you have plans, know where to get them or just have some helpfull information, I’d love to here from you Answer: I am a repairman first and a builder next. Open up a wooden resonator guitar of most any type, and you will be surprised at how cheaply and slap dashly they are put together. But the paint covers it all just fine. I guess 99% of the tone is the cone. Sounds like a slogan. It seems that if solid tonewoods were used, a new sound could come of it. I dont know of any measure
