You are right, it is absolutely impossible to get calorie free alcohol. Alcohol has calories, period. There is no getting around that. However, you can mix it with no-calorie sodas or mixers and there will be less calories. Rum and diet coke is a good cocktail for that. Or drink your booze straight. For a while some company put out light vodka, it was vodka with extra water, in other words a rip-off for naive consumers.
