La Mariposa on Henderson in Dallas. I have bought tons of Dia de los Muertos figurines, sugar skulls and tin skeletons there. Casa Mexicana is another great place to find cool Day of the Dead stuff. They are on Live Oak in Dallas. If all else fails, you can easily make sugar skulls and those places usually sale the molds. You are right about their prices being kinda crazy. When I started collecting stuff nothing cost over $5 and it was for good sized figurines. Try the downtown Dallas Farmers Market. This time of year there would always be somebody selling the skulls. Go to the barn where they sale furniture, not the food barns. In the future, Ebay is a good place to look and you can find good deals.
