Where to buy a Computer for UniS?

0

The University has signed up to a ‘preferred supplier’ deal with Vigen for desktop PC purchases. If you are buying a computer using University funds then this is what you must buy. It does not currently apply to specialised servers based on PC architecture. You should be able to go online to their Educational Website and build a PC online and see the UniS price in real time as you add components. UPDATE – from October 2002 you should price your desktop PC with the cheapest operating system (Win98se) and then ask Viglen to supply it with your choice of Microsoft operating system and choice of Microsoft Office Pro under the University of Surrey Microsoft Campus Agreement. This won’t cost you anymore but must be clearly specified on the order.
