Where to begin to study Asian culture?
Asian culture is an enormous category. You might want to start with one country. Get some books from the library. Visit a restaurant of that culture if there is one in your town. Go to a grocery store that sells food for that country, if there is such a store in your area. Go online and find some friends from that culture that you can correspond with. Study the language, at least learn a few words such as “hello”, “goodbye”, “please” and “thank you”. I got involved in a self-directed study of Chinese culture which began when I read Jackie Chan’s book “My Life In Action”. I started self-studying about Korea because I am in Hapkido, a Korean martial art.
