Where the eagles right to sack don felder ?

I think they were right to let Felder go. Don Henley and Glenn Frey’s songwriting was really coming together and of course ego’s were raging. Felders big claim to fame was slide guitar on “Good Day in Hell” and a guitar duet with Frey on “Already Gone”. I just don’t think he had the songwriting capabilities to contribute to the group in the direction they were going. After all these years to know that Henley and Frey are the only 2 original members left in the group. Joe Walsh and Timothy Schmit could contribute to the group as songwriters and musicians and vocalist as the Eagles rely on 4 part harmony. As much as Henley and Frey fought with each other, the chemistry was and still is there. It’s kinda like Lennon and McCartney, if one or the other was replaced, it would never be the same.
