Where should the inoculation take place?

You can inoculate your jars in many places – in the “open air” (without any sterilization precautions), using the “oven tek”, in a glovebox or in front of a flow hood. Since PF jars are sealed, and there is little chance of introducing a contaminant to the substrate through the 4 holes punched in the lid, all of these methods of inoculation are acceptable.
