Where should tax payments be mailed?
Chatham County uses a lock box payment processing system. Your tax statement includes a window envelope for your convenience. Detach the bottom portion and include with your payment. Make sure the address shows in the window. Retain your portion of the tax statement for a receipt. Should you not have a tax statement, please attach information that will assist us in processing your payment, such as name in which the property is listed, parcel number, tag number. To make a payment without the original bill, please mail to our office in Pittsboro.
