Where should Sensonic: home theater speakers be placed?
The front channel speakers should be mounted approximately at the listener’s ear level from a seated audience at the front position. Rear channel speakers should be placed on the side or rear walls approximately 1/2 to 2/3 of the distance from the viewing screen or front of the room to the rear of the room. Note: Optimum position of the rear speakers should be no more six feet from the audience. The bottom of the speaker cabinet should be approximately two feet above the ear level of the seated audience. Center channel speaker may be placed above or below the television screen area inline with the front left and right channel speakers aimed directly at the audience. Subwoofer location would be localized to enhance the bass frequency reproduction. Placement of the subwoofer is not critical, as it primarily reproduces low frequency sound, which is non – directional.
