Here is a yahoo group link that may be of use to you: HE-Exams-GCSE-A_AS_Levels-OU-Others@ya… It is possible to take A Levels at home without the use of correspondance courses etc, we actually signed up to a number of courses for GCSE, but quickly ditched the courses for text books which we found were cheaper and easier to follow in our opinion. We aren’t alone by any means by studying at home: http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/9210… I would agree also that an OU course could be another alternative that you might want to consider. OU courses at Level 1 (30 points are considered to be equivalent to an A Level each). Personally speaking also, you won’t find better than the OU there are the best out there on many levels. If you do go down the OU route, you can take your study as far as you want with them, from Level 1 30 point courses, to Certificates, then Diplomas, onto Found
