Oh Danielle, Danielle, Danielle– You can actually open as many Roth IRA accounts as you’d like as long as you stay at or below the annual limit. If you are younger than 49, the limit is $5000 a year. If you are 50+ the limit is $6000 a year and you have to have an income, or be married to someone that has an income. From your other questions it sounds like you are more of a conservative investor- but I’d still strongly recommend that you put your retirement money in the stock market if you have at least 10 or more years until retirement. The reason being that the stock market has consistently gone up an average of 11% per year, over a 10 year period. The trick with investing is to buy low and sell high.
