Anywhere, indoors or outside, on to soil or compost that contains the larvae. It is now considered that total eradication is not practicable since vine weevils are established throughout the countryside. It is therefore best to work out the area that you need to treat, to protect those plants that you do not want to lose. Primulas, fuchsias, begonias, most evergreen plants and all plants in pots are particularly at risk.
