If you would like the animal necropsied, place the properly bagged animal on the top shelf of the cooler in the hallway next to D104 in the Painter Center in the bin marked “Save”. Complete a mortality report (in the cabinet in D104 or available at front receptionist cabinet where the Sign-In book is located). Place a red dot on a baggie (available in D104 cabinet) and mark the outside of the bag “Save”. If you would just like to dispose of the carcass after bagging, it can be placed on the bottom shelf in the same cooler without any special instructions. The mortality report can be given to the receptionist who will forward it to the Staff Veterinarian’s office. If you are returning bags of carcasses for disposal, place them in red bags and leave them inside the gate on the South Dock of Painter Center between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If returning more than two bags, please call LAR to verify storage space is available. Dirty cages should be placed by
