The 586 tag is provided for award notes. The INFOhio MARC Record Standards series and the INFOhio Guidelines for Enhancing MARC Records (all available from our INFOhio Cataloging MARC Documents page) may be helpful in entering this information correctly. HOWEVER, the DRA/MultiLIS software currently does not search the 586 tag on an “all fields” or “subject keyword” search. MultiLIS users wishing to perform a search for various awards must enter the award information in a MultiLIS field (document type or subject keyword).
