Where or how did the “Easter Bunny” originate??
When the Easter Bunny came to be I do not know. Too many conflicting sources. However, I can tell you that the use of it as a Christian symbol of Easter came from the Pagani or people of the country side. The Easter Bunny if you take a good look at it is really a hare which is a symbol of death in many folklore traditions, and the egg is a symbol of rebirth. So it fits that the hare and the egg should be used to symbolize the death and rebirth of Christ. He dies on the Cross, Hare, and is reborn, Eggs, which you get on the day of his Rebirth. I have been saying for years now that Christians are Modern Day Pagans and don’t know it. Don’t get me started on Santa Clause!
