Where on my Intel Macintosh running Parallels or VMware and Windows should I store the Artsystsems database?
After installing Artsystems in Windows on the Virtual Machine, the Data file (*.asd), may be stored in a folder anywhere on the network. During the Artsystems installation the default location for all files is C:\Program Files\Artsystems [Product Name] (the product name is GalleryPro, Collections or Studio). If there is only one computer on the network, the default location will suffice; however, users may wish to move their database outside the Windows Environment or to another folder in Windows. If the database (.asd file) is to be saved outside the default location in Windows, create a new folder and move the database (.asd file), reports (.REP files) and the documents folder, if any, into that folder. If the new folder is to reside outside of Windows, either on the Mac Desktop or in the Macintosh HD, after it is created move the database (.asd file), reports (.REP files) and the documents folder, if any, into that folder. The data folder must be shared to allow access from the Arts
