Mithra, like the god Dionysus, were both considered to be ‘divine children’. Look up the gods Osiris and Attis also, they too were considered to be divine children. As you are aware a ‘divine child’ is part human and part god. The early Zorastrians referred to the founder of their belief, Zoroaster also known as Zarathustra, as a divine child. The aspects of the god Mithra was carried through into Christianity by the Roman emperor Constantine and his scribe Eusibeus.
