Copyrights may be registered with the National Office of Copyrights (ONDA). Although the registration formalities provided in Law 65-00 are not mandatory and do not affect the existence or exercise of copyrights, which arise with the creation, it is always advisable to register and thus reinforce by the publicity and guaranties of authenticity and security that ONDA provides the protection of copyrights.
