To date, whirling disease has been found in the following Michigan river systems: • Manistee River at CCC Bridge • Manistee River, North Branch • Little Manistee River at State Road • Au Sable River, North Branch • Au Sable River (from Parmalee Bridge to above Mio) • Tobacco River, North Branch • Jordan River (two locations) • Pigeon River (two locations) • Sturgeon River near Wolverine • Black River (Mackinac County) No state-owned facilities are positive for the Whirling Disease parasite.
