Where is Walltown and how large is it?
Walltown is located approximately 1.5 miles south of the intersection of Scott Road and White Rock Road (map). Walltown Quarry will occupy 613 acres of a1,360 acre leasehold. Granite is proposing to mine 350 acres of that 613 acre area for the next 75-100 years. Granite has proposed a maximum production rate of 6 millions tons per year but the actual production rate will vary based on the market demand each year for aggregates.
