Where Is Waddington?
Waddington basically is an enormous countryside commuter village. It has a total population of 6086 according to the census conducted in the year 2001. It is situated in the Northern Kesteven region of Linconshire, England. It is placed approximately six kilometres south of Lincoln at the A607 Lincoln to Grantham road. The village overlaps the Lincoln Cliff escarpment with a sensational view over the valley of River Witham, which can be viewed from the old centre. The more advanced sectors of the village have developed way down to the steep hill which goes to the city of Lincoln. The village has been recorded as a settlement in the Domesday Book of 1086. The village is quiet famous for its immense military base, RAF Waddington, which is a key airbase situated east of the village centre.
