Where is there a good mexican restaurant in austin?

Great question. While I do appreciate the La Posada recommendation above, it is not known for breakfast tacos or homemade tortillas (I live just down the road from there). For good breakfast tacos with homemade tortillas, you should consider trying some of the following options: La Mexicana – South 1st Cisco’s Bakery – East 6th Cocina de Consuelo – Burnet Road Tamale House – Airport Boulevard Amaya’s – North I-35 El Meson – Burleson Road Two other popular breakfast places are Maria’s Taco Xpress (South Lamar) and Juan in a Million (Cesar Chavez); however, I can’t confirm if they use homemade tortillas or not. As for great mexican food restaurants, I would highly recommend El Azteca (7th street) or Curras (Oltorf). I hope this helps; happy eating!
