The water pump on a 2.0L sohc is driven buy the timing belt. You must remove the timing covers, the motor mount (make sure to support the engine from underneath.) then you must remove the timing belt and crankshaft pully (specail puller need) then you must remove the backing plate of the timing covers and finally remove the water pump. MAKE SURE!! double check that your timing is correct when putting it back togather other wise the pistons will hit the valves and ya game over. Have Fun!!!!!
