Where is the VUMC Reduction-in-Force policy recognized?
The VUMC Reduction-in-Force Policy is only recognized in the medical center(hospital, clinic, medical school, school of nursing and medical center other). Although we work hard to place staff in University positions when possible, they are not considered priority candidates and have no protection. In the same vein, University staff who are laid off have no protection by the policy at University-Central or VUMC.
