The card verification number is used as the password when you wish to check the balance of your gift card online. It is a 3 digit number labeled “CVV2” on the back of the card and it is located on the underneath the magnetic strip on the right hand side of the card.

The card verification number is used as the password when you wish to check the balance of your gift card online. It is a 3 digit number labeled “CVV2” on the back of the card and it is located on the underneath the magnetic strip on the right hand side of the card. On new cards this number is covered by a label which you must scratch to reveal the number.
