I have a 1991 Camry with 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine. The thermostat on it is located in an alloy housing at the engine end of the lower radiator hose, which is on the left side of the radiator (as you’re looking into the engine compartment from the front of the car). The housing has two nuts on it that when removed, will allow access to the thermostat. Don’t forget to drain the coolant before performing this job and it would be wise to do it on a cool engine. Good luck!
