Where is the starter located on a 2002 Mazda Tribute?
Remove the air filter cover and hose for a clear view of the starter on driver side rear of the motor. Pay close attention to the replacment as some toolings are slightly different and will not slide forward far enough for the guide pins to drop inplace. this minor tooling error cost me three hours of stress not noticing the tooling error. once it was ground out the starter slid in perfect in about 15 minutes.
