Section 5.6 of the TDG Regulations specifies that an IBC manufactured in Canada is a UN Standardized Means of Containement if it is in compliance with sections 2 to 11 of CAN/CGSB-43.146. Section 5.12(1) of the TDG Regulations specifies that a UN Standardized small means of containment selected and used in accordance with sections 2, 3, 12 and 13 of CAN/CGSB-43.146 is one of the permitted container types for transport of dangerous goods in Class 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8 or 9 by any mode of transport. Section 5.14 of the TDG Regulations specifies that a UN Standardized large means of containment selected and used in accordance with sections 2, 3, 12 and 13 of CAN/CGSB-43.146 is one of the pemitted container types for transport of dangerous goods in Class 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8 or 9 by road, rail or ship.
