Here is my stock reply on finding your serial number if it was previously installed on a machine you still have. Go to the start menu and type regedit in the search box (or run box in Windows XP. Expand (click on) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Expand SOFTWARE If you have Windows XP, expand Electronic Arts; if you have Vista, expand Wow3462Node and then expand Electronic Arts. In the Electronic Arts menu, expand EA Games. Expand The Sims 2 or expansion (there’s an entry for each) Expand ergc under the relevant entry Look in the right-hand window and under data you’ll see your serial number. Good luck!
