Where is the safest place to live in oz?
It’s strange how people from overseas always seem to ask about safe places to live. It’s simply not a question that ever springs to mind here because pretty well everywhere in Australia is safe and we’re always a bit unsure about exactly how to answer. From my experiences overseas, I’m sure that any place we think of as a bit dodgy would seem like a safe haven to you. Even if you’re asking about natural disasters having heard about our current bushfires, the scale of what is happening now is unprecedented and most unlikely to happen again for many years. If it worries you, simply make sure you live in a city or large town and you’ll be fine. We don’t get severe earthquakes at all and our cyclones only hit the more sparsely populated far north of the country. We have good schools everywhere and all of our state capitals have business centres as do our larger regional cities. Depends on what type of business you’re looking for really.
