Where is the related instruction portion of the apprenticeship completed?
Most of the related instruction is completed at military schools, but some may be completed through correspondence and/or civilian instruction. Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) has Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with 30 professional certifying agencies with national or international recognition. Each MOU establishes procedures for administering tests to military personnel at base education centers worldwide. DANTES funds some certification programs for military personnel i.e.: Automotive Service Excellence).
