Where is the pump on a Samsung P1253 (6 kg) washing machine – at the back, or underneath etc.?
The drain pump is situated underneath the drum unit and is a suction pump which extracts the dirty water from the drum as the unit is starting the spin cycle. To get to this pump you will need to take the rear and the sides off of your washing machine. This is simple to do with only a few screws holding it on. The pump is held on a rubber mount, with flexi hosing coming from the drum to the pump and out the other size. These need removing first, and also the electrical contact needs removing.
